Community & Meditation
|
The Buddha was inviting us to explore, as deeply as meditation itself, what it means to awaken together in community. He was inviting us to explore community itself as a practice of meditation or cultivation. |

Please join us for at-home meditation meetings on Tuesday nights
With an eye toward the COVID-19 pandemic and the protocols we must all be mindful of, we continue our exploration together using technology to enhance our practice at home – with an intention to allow kindness and compassion to become contagious!
Beginning March 17, 2020 and until further notice we are suspending our weekly, Tuesday evening,
in-person meditation meetings at First Congregational Church in Prescott, and invite you to meet with one another online or by phone with the Zoom app.
Our practice, at its core, supports us in meeting such uncertain times with compassion, generosity and wisdom. In this moment in which social distancing is encouraged to maintain the physical well-being of ourselves and others, we can continue to come together as a community to support one another. In these times we need the community of the Sangha and the wisdom of the Dharma more than ever.

I want to bring attention to the potential for deepening and enlivening your home practice in this new format.
For me, home retreat has been transformative in ways I never experienced in residential retreats. It has allowed me to deeply integrate this spiritual path into my living space, creating the visual and temporal reminders of path and practice in my own home. Our practice supports us in uncertain times like this.

We invite you to meet with us online using the free Zoom platform for video and audio conferencing. It offers a 2-way audio/video connection -- you can see and hear our Dharma Leader and the other retreat participants, who can also see and hear you if you choose. If you participate on Zoom, you will have the opportunity to interact. This allows us to maintain a sense of community to practice together, including Q&A and discussion. Alternatively, you may join the meeting using phone audio only.
Please join the Zoom meeting at about 6:50 p.m. Arizona time (MST), allowing us a few minutes to get connected.
As usual, meditation will get started at 7:00 p.m.
